Travel, he says, is even sweeter when there's a place like Pudding Point to come home to. A shapely antique gate found in Maine swings open to a broad sweep of lawn that runs up to the front door and down to woods. But family and friends prefer the New England approach: they park in the driveway and enter through a restored closed porch with plants on potting shelves, a 19th-century Victorian filigreed iron bench, and old green-painted shutters at the window. In other words, even the back entry is beautiful. Mark Christofi has thought of everything.
