But it's the old living room that has undergone the most striking Christofi magic. As found, the house had no official dining room, just a small den and adjoining living room with a double chimney that provided fireplaces for both. Christofi decided to change the functions of the two rooms. He turned the erstwhile den into an informal living room with music and video equipment, lounge chairs, and sofa "a cozy room where comfort comes first," he explains. Among its mix of furnishings is a Christofi whimsy—an end table made of multiple rooster-chocolate molds put together to conceal the room's speaker system.  read more >
