Christofi is clear about his design philosophy, whether for his own quarters or for clients'. He likes to draw from the past and from nature and loves using natural elements such as leather, sisal, raffia, straw, and twigs. He favors white and lots of sunshine "keeping things light." To that end, he never overdresses windows. He's partial to surfaces that are silvered or mirrored, again to reflect light, to bounce energy into a room. "I always try to find a twist," he says.
